We shall continue to improve Osun - Aregbesola


Governor Rauf Aregbesola of  state of Osun has promised to continue to initiate and implement various programmes aimed at developing the state, if re-elected into office in the coming August 9 election.

Aregbesola made the declaration while addressing a  mammoth crowd at the official flag off of APC 2014 governorship campaign held at the Government Technical College,Ilode, Ile-Ife, in Ife Federal constituency.

Governor Aregbesola ,who expressed happiness at the turn out of the people at the rally, recalled the circumstances that surrounded the 2007 election that brought him to power, to be so declared winner later and enjoined the people of Ife to be vigilant and monitor their votes during the poll.

He further explained that his administration will continue to strive for the good of the state, saying he's keen at improving the status of the state among its peers.

Speaking the Oni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade whom the Governor had paid homage to in his palace  assured Governor Aregbesola of his maximum support at ensuring a violence free election in the state.

In his welcome remark, the Chairman Aregbesola campaign committee, Sen. Sola Adeyeye described the major opposition's candidate, as a man with no pedigree to challenge Governor  Aregbesola in an election.

He then enjoined the people of ife environs to cast their votes wisely without fear, while urging them to also monitor their votes.

FBI: Clinton's New Emails Prompt Further Investigation

The FBI on Friday informed Congress it has reopened its review of White House frontrunner Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email server when she was secretary of state and to know whether there is classified information in new emails that have emerged in its prob. The FBI had said in July its investigation was finished but reopened the investigation after discovering new mails “that appear to be pertinent.” The disclosure raises the possibility of the FBI reopening the criminal investigation involving the Democratic presidential nominee just days before the election, although it is not clear if that will happen.
