Online NewsPaper Ranking, Osun Defender Move Forward

The most popular regional online news paper, Osun Defender, move up to 17th position in the latest online newspaper ranking in Nigeria after spending so many months in the 24th position.

Osun defender is a paper in the south west part of the country particularly in the State of Osun and well known for it consistency and reporting current happening in the south west part of Nigeria especially in the State of Osun before now, and due to the hard work and consistent of it reporter in both the print media and online was ranked fourth among the top fifty online news paper in the country.

But suddenly, it was dropped to 24 based on the inconsistency and lack of current information in the news paper.

Online ranking is all about the traffic and the number of visitor to the site and a website can only attract more visitors base on the content in the website, how the optimizer is able to convince are readers that will make them visit the site more and more.

Base on this fact, it is the general believe that optimizer can not give what he or she doesn’t have. In most cases it is what ever in the print media that majorly goes to the online outlet. Therefore, the reason behind the downward move from 4th position to 24th call for a serious concern and should be of paramount to the management of the media

Now that the paper has moved forward in the online ranking, I think is gradually moving up to is expected position.

How Ilorin Rose Against Saraki With Stones And Chants Of Thief! Thief!!, By Jogbojogbo Abdulrahman

Today, the Muslim Ummah celebrated. Today, in Ilorin, the Eid organisers disappointed and displayed colossal incompetence. Today, Mr. Saraki was humiliated. All around the world, Muslims celebrated and gathered at several Eid grounds to worship. It was no different in Ilorin, home to great Islamic scholars. What was different however, was that for the first time in recent history, the organisation was so bad that many people left without praying. People far off from the Imam could not link up to him as a result of bad/insufficient speakers. The disappointment I felt is the same the man beside me must have felt when shortly before the prayers he was lamenting: “First, they said, we were uneducated, so we went to school. Now that we’ve gone to school, there are no jobs for us. The few that have jobs have not been paid for monthsShortly after the prayers, I noticed commotion. There were water sachets and stones flying in the air – all directed at the direction whe...
